Hi Paul..

I have been looking closely at the transaction ideas in sqlite and air, in particular to improve my understanding, I am trying to build a sample accounting app, i.e. banking, debtors, creditors, etc.

So far I have managed to get an update transaction table going within the code and it works fine if both tables have the same number of records and so on. The problem that I have here is how to figure out how to only commit to update once and not over and over again, as then it will keep on deleting values from table 1 in relation to table 2 and this is not quite practical..:)))

Please educate us when you have a moment as I would love to know how to achieve this properly.

Thank you Paul.

Cheers

Hi,
While I realize this is not on the topic of this particular blog post, I couldn't figure out where else to address this.

I see you started the ascompress project on Google Code, so I imagine you might have some knowledge on this... I'm trying to write an application that works with common archival formats (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, etc) and only needs basic reading and extraction methods. (The application is to be an automatic-installer for Sins Of A Solar Empire's arcane-to-install mods.) Do you know of any such libraries in C or C++? Or where I might be able to look for further help?

Thanks for your time! :)
